Gillette announces Neymar Jr. as their new ambassador
Establishing another heavy partnership in his career, Gillette, worldwide leader brand on body care, announced our star Neymar Jr. as their new ambassador for Latin America. The announcement was revealed at Camp Nou, during a press conference where Barça’s number 11 remembered some of his most remarkable moments throughout his career.
Neymar Jr. was honored by strong and always present in his life personalities. Names like Pelé, Betinho and Adriano Correia contributed with statements. At the end of the event, NJr shaved his beard utilizing one of Gillette’s shavers; The shaver he used will eventually be auctioned.
“I always liked caring and innovating my style. It’s something that makes me feel confident and ready to face the challenges on the field. Gillette is a brand well known for its precision and for always seeking the best, something that I also seek in the way I play. I feel honored in being part of the Gillette team, that historically is associated with big sports names”, declared the striker about the brand.
As a novelty, Gillette also launched the new video called #melhorquetem. The campaign works in function of a statement Neymar Jr. gave in an interview, where, on being questioned about being the best player in the world, the athlete answered that he would like being better than yesterday, always.
The partnership follows a tradition of Gillette on associating the brand with big sports names, like Pelé and, currently, Gabriel Medina. According to Juliana Moretti, Marketing Manager of Brazil’s Gillette, she believes that “Neymar Jr. transmits this concept of a truthful and powerful way. The dedication he demonstrated since basic soccer club, to be better than himself everyday, is where we identified ourselves.
