PSG wins Montpellier and increases advantage in Ligue 1
PSG easily defeated Montpellier on Wednesday (20/02) in a rescheduled match of the 17th round of Ligue 1. Neymar Jr's team - who didn't play because is injured - didn't know their opponents, won by 5 to 1 in the Parc des Princes and isolated even more in the leadership.
Kurzawa, Di Maria, Nkunku, Hilton (own goal) and the top scorer of the Ligue, Mbapeé, scored for the Parisian team. Mollet scored the visitors' goal.
The first half gave a false impression that the match could be balanced. Kurzawa opened the scoring at 13. Montpellier tied in the sequence in a goal that required confirmation of the technology. It was doubtful whether Mollet's conclusion had crossed the line. But at the end of the first half Di Maria scored a beautiful free kick, leading the win to the break.
In the second half, PSG needed just six minutes to win. Nkunku at 27, Hilton (own goal) at 32 and Mbapeé at 33 made the superiority of PSG in a show of goals.
With the win PSG reach 65 points with 24 games played. The team has 15 points more than Lille, who have one more match.
The PSG returns to the field Saturday (23/02), when it will face the Nîmes, In Paris.
