PSG wins by 3x0 the Nîmes in the Park of Princes
Paris Saint-Germain won another one in Ligue 1. On Saturday afternoon, the Paris team beat Nimes 3-0, with Nkunku and Mbappé (2) goals and opened a 17-point gap for the second placed, Lyon, even with one game less.
With an almost perfect first half, the PSG was far superior in the Parc des Princes. He completely dominated the opponent and showed why he is the favorite to the title of the season. The first goal came in the 38th minute of the first half. Mbappé scored, however, the VAR went into action and nullified. But two minutes later, Marco Verratti found Nkunku in the area and the striker just completed for the goal to open the scoring.
There were many chances missed in the initial stage and even after his goal was canceled, Mbappé didn't stop playing until he scored his goal. In the 24th minute of the final stage, Bernat made a cross that found the Frenchman alone inside the small area. He only finished in style to increase the advantage.
By that time Nimes was already lost on the pitch and PSG didn't have to force much to score the third and kill the match. After a stolen ball, Nkunku counterattacked and decided on the pass to Mbappé, who invaded the area and touched the goalkeeper's exit to score the third of PSG and his 23rd goal in Ligue 1, isolated scorer of the championship.
With the goal, Mbapeé became the youngest athlete to cross the 50-goal barrier in Ligue 1. He now has 51 goals at 20 years, 3 months and 2 days.
PSG returns to the pitch next Tuesday (26/02) at 21:10 (local time) by the quarterfinals of the French Cup to face Dijon.
