PSG tries to extend advantage in Ligue 1
In a late game, valid for the 17th round of Ligue 1, PSG returns to the Parc des Princes to face Montpellier, 6th placed in the table. The game, originally scheduled for December 9, 2018, was canceled because of protests in the French capital.
At a news conference on Tuesday (19/02) PSG coach Thomas Tuchel has announced that some athletes won't be on the pitch. In addition to Neymar Jr and Cavani - absences in the last games - Meunier, Thiago Silva (suspended) and Paredes (not subscribed) won't act. Bernat is also doubtful.
About the difficulty of administering injuries, fatigue and schedule, the coach spoke as he works: "It's not easy, because there are only two days between games and many trips. We will also have the opportunity to train tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. We have to find the balance between recovery and training. We can't expect too much from the players, we will do small meetings with analysis of video."
A PSG win will further extend his leadership lead. The Parisians would have 15 points and one game less against Lille, placed second.
The game will start at 9:00 p.m., Paris time.
