Neymar Jr. visits the Brazilian Aerial Forces Academy
Almost ready to meet the coach Rogério Micale, at Granja Comary, Neymar Jr. took his last days of vacation to visit the Brazilian Aerial Forces Academy (AFA), at Pirassununga, in São Paulo. The athlete, besides having the opportunity of seeing the facility and the values program of the AFA, he was also able to leave an incentive message to the athletes of NAVAMAER, the annual competition between the army, the marine and the aerial forces, that’s uniting 600 athletes in 12 categories.
“I wish success to all of you and good luck to the athletes. I’m very happy of being able to share this moment with you and I hope to be able to come back here another day”, said the number 10 of the National Brazilian team. He also highlighted the importance of military athletes that will be part of the Brazilian Olympic Games. In total, there are 125 sergeants of the three forces and, between them, Arthur Zaneti and Marilson dos Santos.
During the visit, Neymar Jr. had access to details of the airships and also discovered more about the ‘Esquadrilha da Fumaça’. “I’ve always wanted to meet the Esquadrilha da Fumaça. I wanted to bring my son, he loves planes and would have loved to see the airships”, commented Neymar Jr. The aerial platoon throughout 64 years of history has made 3.700 demonstrations all over the country, plus other 21 different countries. They affirmed that attracting greater audiences and representing Brazil are part of the common characteristics for them.
The Aerial Forces Academy has a mission of forming Air Force Career Officers, developing in each one the military attributes, intellectual and professional, besides ethical, moral and social patterns. Similar values to the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr., where representatives from the AFA could also visit recently.
“The Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr. has the characteristic of taking the values we cited, things that are related to a program we have here in the academy, called Values Formation Program. The project aims to preserve the values and principles that are not only fit to the soldiers, but also to the whole Brazilian society, explained the AFA commander, Brigadeiro do Ar Saulo Valadares do Amaral.
