Neymar Jr. is the only football player in TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2017 list
This Thursday (20), the renowned TIME magazine revealed their list of 100 Most Influential People of 2017. The selection that has great worldwide personalities like Donald Trump and the Pope Francisco, also have Neymar Jr.’s presence, who’s the only football player in the list.
The player shows up in the Icons category, side by side with people like the gymnast Simone Biles and the actress & Oscar winner Viola Davis. Each person included on the list had their profile written by another personality and the ex-player David Beckham wrote about Barça’s number 11.
“A series of images I once discovered on the Internet shows me and Neymar together over a decade, from when I was at Real Madrid and he was just a young boy to today. Although it does make me feel my age, it also shows the remarkable progression of a young man who at 25 is well on his way to becoming the best player in the world,” wrote the star about Njr.
Neymar Jr. is the only football player in the list. Among the other personalities in the list, Tom Brady, Lebron James, Simone Biles, Conor McGregor and Colin Kaepernick are present besides the footballer.
