Neymar Jr. is the most followed Brazilian in social media
Neymar Jr. is already established as a great player inside and outside of the pitch, but now the number 100 returns to impress with his social media numbers. The player is the most followed Brazilian person on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, with over 175 million fans.
The athlete has 60Mi followers on Facebook, 34Mi on Twitter and 82,9Mi on Instagram. Compared with other most followed Brazilian personalities, between the three medias, he stands above Kaká, Ronaldinho Gaúcho and the hit singer Anitta, besides many other celebrities. With these numbers, the strikers have more fans in social media than the main Brazilian clubs of the Brazilian Championship.
But his success goes beyond Brazil. His InstaStories are the most seen in the app around the world, staying ahead of celebrities like Floyd Mayweather, David Beckham and even Champions League’s official profile. The player is the second most followed football player in Instagram and the 14th biggest page in the world, with little to surpass National Geographic and take the 13th place.
His virtual fame also helped PSG to push their social media to new grounds. Before the player’s arrival, the club had 8,2Mi followers on Instagram and today they gather 10,1Mi. The same happened to Twitter, where their official account had 4,6Mi and today reaches 5,5Mi people. On Facebook, the squad remains with 31Mi.
