Neymar Jr. is one of the candidates in FIFA FIFPro World11 2016
One day before announcing the three finalists of the Puskás Prize and the Best Player of The Year, FIFA and FIFPro revealed this Thursday (1), the 55 players that are competing for a position in FIFA FIFPro World11 2016. And once again, Neymar Jr. also enters the list.
On the list, besides Neymar Jr., other four Brazilian athletes are candidates for a place in the Team. Daniel Alves, David Luiz, Thiago Silva and Marcelo. The five players are competing for the second time in a row and Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Dani Alves and NJr entered 2015’s Team.
FIFA and FIFPro said that the choice for the 55 athletes was made based in 25 thousand players around 70 countries. The FIFPro also revealed that this year was a record breaking one for votes, ever since the beginning of the awards, back in 2005. The 11 selected players will be revealed in the FIFA gala ceremony, in January nine, in Zurich.
