Four years ago today, Neymar Jr. prepared himself for the Olympic Games
The Olympic Games are coming and with it, Neymar Jr. will participate on the competition for the second time in his career. Meanwhile, the Brazilian National Team prepares for the Centennial Copa America, winning the friendly match against Panama, by 2-0, at the USA. It’s worth remembering that back in 2012, on this same date, NJr prepared himself for the Olympics also on the USA.
On the first three games in preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games, in London, Neymar Jr. and the National Brazilian team Travelled to Washington, to FedEx Field Stadium, for a match against the USA team. Soon by nine minutes, the referee gives a penalty for the Brazilian team and NJr opens the score.
The Brazilian Team dominated the field until the end of the first half. Thiago Silva scored another for his team and Gomez made the only goal for his. On the second half, the national group kept the good rhythm and Marcelo and Alexandre Pato completed the 4-1 rout.
Neymar Jr. put on a show, scored, dribbled and made assistances. The player was substituted by Lucas, on the end of the match, by 39. This was only a small gesture of what the player would offer on the Olympics and, for sure, made a good impression.
