"I'm very happy to be able represent the Olympic team once again! Now I need to train a lot, help my teammates and get my second olympic medal!"
Besides Barcelona’s number 11, the other two selected players older than 23 are: The goalkeeper Fernando Prass (Palmeiras) of 37 years old and Douglas Costa (Bayern Munchen) of 25.
When asked about Neymar Jr. on the team, Micale said that “he’s a different player and one of the best in the world. Any team in the world would want to have someone with his profile. But we also try to find other players to have leadership. My expectation is that he answers this. He will mean a lot to our team. I hope he can lead the younger ones.”
