CIES Football Observatory evaluates Neyma Jr. as the most valuable player in the world
After being highlighted as the world’s most expensive player in the world by France Football’s magazine, Neymar Jr. appeared again on top, among high valued players. CIES (International Centre For Sports Studies) Football Observatory placed the National Brazilian Team’s number 10 as the most valuable player in the planet once again.
This Monday (16), the list of most valuable players in the world was revealed by AS’ Newspaper and the numbers were brought by CIES, a research institute which focus specifically in sports. On the list, Neymar Jr. appears in first place, evaluated in €246,8 million, one up above his teammate, Lionel Messi ((€170,5 milhões) and the current elected best player of the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, (€126,5 million).
Besides NJr, other nine Brazilians appeared in the Top 100 most valuable list. Among them are: Roberto Firmino (€55,3 millions), Willian (€55,1 mil), Philippe Coutinho (€55 mi), Lucas Moura (€50,4 mi), Fabinho (€40,8 mi), Alex Sandro (€40,7 mi), Douglas Costa (€ 39,4 mi), Felipe Anderson (€38,1 mi) and Marquinhos (€37,6 mi).
The list of the Swedish institute took a series of criteria at hand to evaluate the players. The factors used were age, time of contract, experience, level of performance, international status, results, individual and competitive titles and common price in the market.
