Brazilian Olympic Team faces Japan in a friendly match before the Olympics
This Saturday (30), at 16h (Horário de Brasília), at the Serra Dourada Stadium, in Brasília, Neymar Jr. is returning to the pitch. The Brazilian Olympic Football Team will face Japan, on the only friendly match that the team will make before the beginning of Rio 2016’s Olympic Games.
Neymar Jr. and his teammates arrived at Granja Comary, to present themselves to Rogério Micale on July 18 and they haven’t stopped training ever since, even after their trip to Goiania, last Thursday (28); The complete team will be available for the match, except for the goalkeeper Fernando Prass, who won’t play this match due to a light injury he suffered in the middle of the week.
The friendly showdown against Japan marks Neymar Jr.’s return to the pitch. His last game was against Sevilla, before his vacations, at Copa del Rey’s final. The player that conquered a silver medal in 2012’s London Olympic Games is about to participate on his second Olympics and this time he will chase the gold.
Brazil’s number 10 has never before played against Japan’s Olympic Team, but he’s already scored eight goals in the three matches he played against the Japanese main team. In the last friendly match that they faced each other, Brazil won by 4-0 and NJr was the one who scored the four goals.
