Brazil faces Switzerland in its 2018 World Cup debut
The World Cup started! This Sunday (17), at 17h (Brazilian time), in Rostov, the Brazilian National Team will finally make its debut in the biggest soccer tournament in the world, in a match against Switzerland, in the first phase of the championship.
The team will start the World Cup on the right foot. They won the two friendly pre-Cup games, with great performances in the field. Against Croatia, Brazil won by 2 to 0 and against Austria, by 3 to 0.
Neymar Jr. scored 1 goal in each match, equaling Romário with 55 goals in the Brazilian National Team, in official matches and establishing himself as the third highest scorer in the team's history. Should he score again in the Copa team debut, he will also match Romário, as the fourth Brazilian top scorer in World Cups.
This is Neymar Jr’s second World Cup. In the first one, the player won the Bronze Ball, scoring 4 goals in the tournament and also left an assist in his account, in the last match he played.
Against Switzerland, this will be his second match. The first one was in a friendly game, back in 2013, where the Brazilian team lost by 1-0. Focused only on bringing the Cup to Brazil, Neymar Jr. will enter the pitch with his teammates to change that.
