BATE Borisov is Barça’s next Champions League challenge
After defeating Rayo Vallecano for 5-1, thanks to Neymar Jr.’s brilliant display on the field, Barcelona will be making a trip to Belarus, where they will face their next Champions League challenge. The catalan team will duel against BATE Borisov, this Tuesday (20), at 16h45 (Brazilian time), at the Borisov Arena, in Barysaw city.
Since the victory against Rayo, FC Barcelona has been making training sessions at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, focusing only on their next Champions League match. Luis Enrique and their players will make their trip after their last training, that still happens today. Between the selected players, Thomas Vermaelen received the medical green light and may be able to help his companions. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta, two important players for the team, remain recovering from their injuries.
This will be the third game between Barça and BATE Borisov. The two teams already faced each other during 2011/2012 Champions League. The two matches happened during group phase. On the first, the catalan team won for 5-0 and 4-0 on the second. As for Neymar Jr., this will be his first trip to Belarus and also his first time against BATE.
