Barcelona shines at the Camp Nou and makes a 5-0 rout against Celta de Vigo
Barcelona made a beautiful 5-0 rout in this Saturday’s (4) match against Celta de Vigo, maintaining the leadership of the championship. With two goals from Messi, one from Neymar Jr. another from Rakitic and even one from Umtiti,the culé squad shone in the duel. Next Wednesday (8), Barça will have the difficult challenge of seeking a complicated 5-0 victory against PSG, to maintain themselves classified in the Champions League.
First half –
The ball rolled in the important match against Celta de Vigo, at the Camp Nou. Barça played with caution to maintain their leadership in the championship. Neymar Jr. was the athlete who most worked inside the pitch, dancing among the defenders. At 13 minutes, the brazilian exchanged passes with Messi, who almost scored, having the ball defended by the goalkeeper. Celta almost couldn’t touch the ball.
At 19 minutes, Messi left Suárez in good condition, the Uruguayan dribbled the defenders, but left the ball in the pole. The players tried so much that, at 23 minutes, the goal came. Messi stole the ball in the midfield, dribbled Celta’s defense and made a beautiful kick to score a great goal. The MSN Trio felt inspired that night.
Always wanting more, another goal came out by the end of the first half. Messi was invading the area, until he decided to give the ball to Neymar Jr. The player kicked above the goalkeeper to make the second for Barcelona, finishing well the first half.
Second half –
The first chance of the second half came at 48 minutes, surprisingly from Sergi Roberto, after the player took the ball from the midfield until the entrance off the area. When he kicked, the goalkeeper defended and Neymar Jr. did not reach the ball on time. Barcelona sparkled inside the Camp Nou, difficulting Celta’s game.
And it didn’t take long for the third goal to come. At 57 minutes, Rakitic took the ball to Neymar Jr. in the entrance of the area, who faced the defence to leave the ball with Messi, who passed for Rafinha to return to Rakitic to score. The number 10 commanded the pitch, becoming the king of assistances. At 61 minutes, after a short corner-kick, Alba left the ball for Messi to push it for Umtiti to score his first goal with the Barcelona shirt.
But the faucet of goals didn’t stop. At 64 minutes, Rafinha won the ball in the midfield and made a long pass for Messi to invade the area and score the goal. 5-0 at the Camp Nou. The coach Luis Enrique decided to test his team ou and made some substitutions, taking Neymar Jr. to the bench, who the left the field with a big round of applauses.
The game was coming to na end and Barcelona did not let Celta de Vigo breathe. The culé squad tried and tried, with good chances of goal from Luis and Denis Suárez, but the rout stopped in the fifth goal. Barça was still the leader of La Liga.
