Barcelona faces Rayo Vallecano on the Spanish Championship’s next round
Returning from the World Cup qualifiers pause, the Spanish Championship returns for its eight round of the season. The FC Barceona will go into the field for a match against Rayo Vallecano. The duel will happen this Saturday (17), at 15h30 (Brazilian time), at the catalan team’s home, at Camp Nou.
The last game Neymar Jr. and his partners played was at day 2, in a match against Sevilla, where Barça lost for 2-1. The team is now on the fourth place on the championship’s grid, right behind Celta de Vigo, Real Madrid and Villarreal, respectively.
Luis Enrique placed all of his available players for the training section in preparation for the game. Players like Javier Mascherano, Daniel Alves, Claudio Bravo and Ivan Rakitic returned from their international compromises and joined up with the training team.
Barça’s number 11 aims to expand his number of goals for this season’s Championship. Against Rayo Vallecano, Neymar Jr. is unbeaten, with three duels against the team, two scored goals and one assistance.
One of the crucial ‘Tridente’ members, Luis Suárez, talked about the challenges the team will face this season. “We all know how tough our rivals are. Both Real Madrid and Atlético, as well as Valencia or Sevilla have already shown that. We have to keep believing in ourselves, understanding that teams make mistakes”.
